Workflows are powerful, but sometimes you’ll want to pause them, tweak them, or relaunch them at just the right time.
Turning a workflow on or off is super simple - and gives you the control you need to run smarter, more intentional campaigns.
🚦 Turning a Workflow ON
Follow these steps when your workflow is ready to go live:
- Go to Automation > Workflows
From your dashboard, click the “Automation” tab, then select “Workflows.” - Find the Workflow You Want to Activate
Use the list or search bar to locate it. - Toggle the Switch to ON
- You’ll see an ON/OFF toggle beside the workflow name
- Flip it to ON
- You’ll get a quick confirmation that it’s active and ready to run
📌 Important: Only active workflows will trigger actions like sending emails or tagging leads.
🛑 Turning a Workflow OFF
Need to pause an automation while you make changes, or stop a sequence from running altogether? Here’s how:
- Locate the Workflow
Again, head to Automation > Workflows. - Toggle the Switch to OFF
- Flip the ON/OFF toggle to OFF
- This instantly stops new contacts from entering the workflow
- Any scheduled actions within that workflow will also pause
💡 You can always turn it back on later; no progress is lost.
🔄 Why You Might Turn a Workflow Off
- You’re updating steps or messages
- A campaign has ended
- You're reassigning leads or adjusting targeting
- You want to duplicate and test variations
✅ Quick Tips
- Review before turning on: Double-check your triggers, actions, and contact flow
- Name smartly: Use clear names like "New Seller Leads – Welcome Series" to avoid confusion
- Archive old ones: Clean up your view by archiving workflows you no longer use
