Adding a Privacy Policy to Your Facebook Lead Forms

Why You Need a Privacy Policy

Whenever you run a Facebook lead ad, you’re collecting personal details like names, emails, and phone numbers. Facebook requires every lead form to include a link to your privacy policy. Without this, your form won’t be approved.

This is to show people how their data will be handled and builds trust that their information is safe.

Check If You Already Have One

If you’re an independent contractor, you may already be covered under your employers privacy policy.

Example: Many real estate agencies (and other businesses) publish their privacy policy at the bottom of their website.

Here’s how to check:

  1. Go to your companies website.
  2. Scroll to the footer (bottom of the page).
  3. Look for a link that says Privacy Policy.

If the companies policy applies to you, you can copy that link and use it in your lead forms.

What If You Don’t Have a Website?

If you don’t have access to a privacy policy, you can quickly generate one using this free tool:
👉 Privacy Policy Generator for Lead Ads

It only takes a minute.

How to Create Your Privacy Policy Link

  1. Open the Privacy Policy Generator.
  2. Enter your business name and email address.
  3. The tool will generate a hosted privacy policy for you.
  4. Copy the link provided.

Adding the Privacy Policy in Jumpalead

Once you have your link, add it to your lead form inside Jumpalead’s Ads Manager

  1. When creating your ad, you'll be asked to Create new or select a Lead form. Click Create Facebook Form.
  2. Follow the steps and create your form.
  3. When you get to the Privacy Policy section, paste your privacy policy link into the Link field.
  4. In the Link text field, enter something simple like “View Privacy Policy.”

Your form preview on the right will update to show the link.

All done!

With your privacy policy link added, your form will meet Facebook’s requirements and you’ll be ready to publish your ad.
