How to Sync Your iCloud Calendar

Connecting your iCloud Calendar to Jumpalead keeps your bookings and availability aligned. This helps prevent double bookings and ensures your schedule is always up to date.

What You Need Before You Start

  • Access to the Apple account linked to your iCloud Calendar
  • An app-specific password from Apple (separate from your regular Apple password)
  • Two-factor authentication enabled on your Apple account

Tip: If you only want to fetch events from iCloud into Jumpalead, read-only access is enough. If you want new events created in Jumpalead to appear in iCloud, you need writer access.

Step 1: Get Your App-Specific Password from Apple

  1. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in
  2. Under Security, make sure two-factor authentication is turned on
  3. In App-Specific Passwords, select Generate Password
  4. Enter a label such as “Jumpalead Calendar” and click Create
  5. Copy and save the generated password — you’ll need it in the next step

Step 2: Connect Your iCloud Calendar

  1. Go to Calendars > Calendar Settings > Connections
  2. Click Add New
  3. Select iCloud Calendar and click Connect
  4. Enter your Apple ID and the app-specific password you just created
  5. Click Connect to finish setup

Step 3: Configure Your Calendar

Once connected, you’ll need to configure how Jumpalead uses your iCloud Calendar.

  • Linked Calendar: This is where new events created in Jumpalead will be added. Writer access is required for this option.
  • Conflict Calendar: These calendars are used to block off your availability if events are marked as Busy in iCloud. Events marked as Free will show in Jumpalead but won’t block your time.

Tip: You can add multiple calendars as conflict calendars to prevent double bookings.

Limitations with iCloud Integration

  • iCloud only supports one-way sync. Events from iCloud will show as blocked slots in Jumpalead, but events created in Jumpalead as blocked slots won’t sync back to iCloud.
  • Guest details from iCloud events will not create new contacts in Jumpalead.
  • Subscription calendars (added to iCloud via a URL, such as public calendars) cannot be connected.
  • You can connect multiple iCloud accounts per Jumpalead sub-account, and the same iCloud account can also be connected across multiple sub-accounts.

👉 Once your iCloud Calendar is connected, Jumpalead will automatically keep your availability in sync and help prevent scheduling conflicts.
