How to Set Up Your Email Sending Domain (Mailgun/SMTP)

Get Your Emails Landing Where They Should, Every Time

To make sure your emails reach inboxes (and not spam folders), you'll want to connect a verified sending domain using Mailgun or your own SMTP settings. It sounds technical, but we’ll walk you through it step by step.

✉️ Why Set Up a Sending Domain?

  • Improves email deliverability
  • Builds trust with your recipients
  • Keeps your emails out of spam folders
  • Looks more professional (no more "sent via" lines)

Option 1: Connect via Mailgun (Recommended for Most Users)

Step 1: Go to Settings → Email Services
Choose “Mailgun” as your provider.

Step 2: Enter Your Domain
Use a subdomain like mail.yourdomain.com to keep things clean and separate.

Step 3: Add DNS Records
You’ll be provided with several DNS records (TXT, CNAME, and possibly MX). Copy these into your domain registrar (like GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Cloudflare).
Need help? Just click “Help Me Add DNS Records” inside your dashboard.

Step 4: Verify Domain
It may take a few minutes (or a few hours) for the DNS changes to propagate. Once they do, your domain will show as “verified.”

Step 5: Send a Test Email
You’re good to go! Try sending yourself a test email from the platform to make sure everything looks correct.

Option 2: Connect via SMTP (Use Your Own Email Provider)

Step 1: Choose SMTP in the Email Settings
Enter your SMTP credentials from Gmail, Outlook, or any email provider. You’ll need:

  • SMTP server address
  • Port number (usually 587 or 465)
  • Your email login and password

Step 2: Set Your “From” Name and Address
Choose how your emails will appear to recipients.

Step 3: Test & Save
Click “Send Test” and save the connection once verified.
