How to Add a Contact to a Pipeline Manually

Organize your leads, your way - one contact at a time.

Whether you just met a promising new lead at a networking event or need to manually track someone you’ve been emailing, Jumpalead makes it easy to add contacts to your pipeline whenever you need to - no automation required.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

✍️ Step-by-Step: Manually Adding a Contact to Your Pipeline

1. Go to “Pipelines” or “Opportunities”

From your dashboard, head over to the Pipelines section. Choose the pipeline you want to add your contact to (e.g. “Leads,” “Sales Process,” “Follow-up Funnel”).

2. Click “+ Add Opportunity”

Look for the + Add Opportunity or + New Opportunity button - usually found at the top or within the pipeline stage you want.

3. Enter Contact Details

In the pop-up window:

  • Choose the contact (existing or new)
  • Add a title for the opportunity (e.g. “Jane Doe - Website Redesign”)
  • Select the pipeline stage where you'd like them to start
  • Set an estimated value or deal size (optional)
  • Assign to yourself or a team member

4. Save & You're Done! 🎉

Your contact is now officially added to your pipeline and ready to be tracked, moved, and celebrated.

💡 Why This Matters

Pipelines give you a visual way to manage your leads and sales process, and manually adding contacts is great for:

  • Inbound leads you receive outside of forms or ads
  • Personal referrals or direct introductions
  • Tracking opportunities from networking, calls, or email outreach
  • Custom workflows that don’t start with automation

🔁 Bonus Tip: Keep It Updated

The more current your pipeline is, the more clarity you’ll have. Update notes, set tasks, and move contacts forward as they progress - it all adds up to smoother sales and less stress.
